why i started lil' chicken provisions . . .

i have been in the food + bev industry for over 10 years with always wanting the end game to be working for myself.  when 2020 started + all that came with it, i lost my job as a small food business owner.  my partners + i had to shut down right away, so i started thinking about what i could do that my creativity could always be running wild.  not a one dimensional idea where I would eventually get tired of what i am cooking + creating.  i want lil' chicken provisions to provide delicious goods that are seasonally based with the only thing that stays the same is that you will want to give all the goods a try + hopefully fall in love every single time.  there is nothing better than feeding people. a smile, silence from ya'll just enjoying the goods, the faces + words of deliciousness getting in your belly is truly the best feeling. THE BEST!

why the name lil' chicken provisions?

the name of a business, especially so personal it everything.   i tested about a dozen names  + logos, but none stuck like lil' chicken provisions.  

lil' comes from the first dog that made me a dog momma, lily.  she passed away quickly a few years ago + will always be my best friend.  

chicken comes from my dog quinn, the dog of a million nicknames.  one of which is chicken. considering she looks like a cross between a dog,

a pig + a cow not quite sure where it comes from but it stuck!

provisions comes from not wanting to put myself in a box.  if I want to start baking cakes or make cocktail mixes, i can do all of that under this perfect meaningful name.
